Last post was on Dec. 19?!

I’ve been here in Florida for 2 months already and everyday has been busy. Can’t believe I went home for only 3 days too! These past two months brought ups and downs but it all happened for the best. 

Recently, I applied for Aulani’s internship position. The position consist of duties such as quick food and beverage operations, event convention room planning and things of that nature. I didn’t get the position though. Submitted my application on the 2nd of March, got a reply the next morning that they didn’t consider my application. And I know why, it was my record card. I submitted my health form for missing almost a week of work. They didn’t update it online yet, so I assume they didn’t bother to look at my application or resume because I already had 7 points, the limit is 9. Nine or more, you get terminated. So here’s how it works: .5 pts for tardiness, .5 pts for not clocking out, and 1 point for calling in sick or not showing up. I submitted my health forms so the 7 days I missed out at work, equaling 7 pts will be consolidated into 1 pt. At least that job position is crossed out of my job list. I have four other options. 

When I come home I’ll be working on an upcoming Cover Look Photo! Something to look forward to this holiday season folks :) Then I’m going to apply at 3 different places when I get home because my sister and mom recommended it. Can’t wait to come home to make money, more than what I make now.

About Disney CP. I think it’s worth it if you want to get away for a couple of months and enjoy the parks and to gain experience in merchandise, food services, attractions, guest services, and many other options you may choose from. Walt Disney World is magical. I love it but its really hard to find time to go to the parks, especially if you have school work to do after a 40-hours week of work. I love working though, its fun at Hollywood Studios.  As much as I want to come home, I enjoy everyday. I learn to open up and talk to people. Say what is on my mind right away because these people on the East coast really voices their opinions. Everyone, well in our store at least, is nice. They are teaching slowly to open up to talk to each and everyone of them. They find it really exciting to know I’m for Hawaii. I am very proud and glad to be Oahu Grown! I meet so much people around the world. Make me want to learn Spanish, Portuguese, French and other languages. I’m trying to practices my tagalog and illocano so I will be able to master my own heritage’s language before learning another. I kind of wish I took at Disney heritage course. Everything gets interesting each day. 

I also try to go out with my roomies and coworkers as much as I can, or can afford. The only time I don’t go out is if I don’t have money… and now is that time, therefore I didn’t go out last night. Wish they paid us more here. I need money. Until next time, I’m getting tired so I will try to write more. Maybe write each day, or every other day. Once a week, guarantee!
